Thursday 28th May 2020. ♥

Welcome to Thursday fun times in the Babies 1 Room with Miss Kate, Miss Lilly and Miss Lyn today! Today Miss Kate planned for us to acknowledge and pay our respects to RECONCILIATION WEEK by doing some cotton bud free painting in red, yellow and black colours. The children learn through curiosity and creativity exploring the messy paint between their fingers as a sensory, fun experience. Parker and Olive were really keen to get stuck into this today! At its heart, reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians. This links under LEARNING OUTCOME 2 of the EARLY YEARS LEARNING FRAMEWORK – ‘Children are connected too and contribute to their world.’

Each of your children have an artbook which is a collection of your little ones artwork throughout their time spent with us and you are more than welcome to look at it anytime!

Peyton self-selected the books from our shelf today with a big smile on her face as she learns to handle books with care and look at the pictures to extend the love of learning and increasing her language development.

Edward, Scarlett and Miller were intrigued by the BUBBLES with big smiles as we watch them float by and try to catch them to practice our hand-eye coordination skills.  Some of other play included Miss Lilly singing to us, exploring the rattles, and having a turn in the stand up activity station.
Our outside play environment consisted of the physical space to extend our gross motor skills with the big soft blocks, rocking dinosaurs, mowers, wheelbarrows, sand play with trucks and the tent with our dolls.

We would like to thank all our families that contributed to our display for NATIONAL FAMILIES WEEK which was last week as we love to incorporate and extend on your child’s interests here in a play based environment. Please ask Miss Kate if you need another sheet to complete as only have 4 babies outstanding to complete this task with their families. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for a great day Babies 1 – Miss Kate, Miss Lilly and Miss Lyn. ♥ ♥ ♥
