BABIES 1 – MONDAY 20th JULY 2020.

Hello for Miss Kate and Miss Lilly in the Babies 1 Room with all your little treasures for a fun filled start to the week with lots of learning!  😊

This morning the children all tucked into some corn thins with homemade healthy spread and banana puree which we all loved to set us up for the busy day ahead!  😊

A big thank you to Miss Lilly for making our alphabet sensory board which all of the children loved exploring today, checking out the textures and practicing our language development.  😊

Miss Kate intentionally planned for us to experience some messy play in our trough today which the green shaving foam was great fun feeling it between our fingers!  From birth to early childhood, children use their five senses to explore and try to make sense of the world around them. It is an important part of early childhood development and providing opportunities for children to actively use their senses as they explore their world through ‘sensory play’ is crucial to brain development. 😊

Peyton, Edward and Charlie responded really well to one-to-one conversational reading opportunities to extend their language development this morning with Miss Kate.  😊

Charlie and Peyton took a liking to self-selecting the new castle set wooden blocks to which was great for their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills whilst being in a supportive environment to grow as confident and involved learners.  😊

Olive and Parker gave big smiles to spontaneous singing throughout the day today!  We love singing here in the Babies 1 Room and it is a big part of our day to help extend the children’s vocabulary and become effective communicators. 😊

Thanks for a great day Babies 1 and for taking the time to read all about it!

Miss Kate and Miss Lilly!  😊  😊
