Babies 1 – Tuesday 21st April 2020
Hello and a big warm welcome to terrific Tuesday in the Babies 1 room with Miss Kate with your beautiful children. 😊 Today the children were keen to continue with our ANZAC DAY craft work for our new display in the room which is our interpretation of a poppy in red and black paints. 😊 Bella, Alfie, Charlie and Miller all responded well to the feel of the textures of paints between their fingers as they grasped the brushes to get messy and creative. I will take a photo of this display once it is completed for you all to see and we also add your individual child’s artwork to their artbooks too. 😊 The coloured duplo blocks have been popular this morning especially with Miller and Alfie self-selecting the different colours and sizes to explore! The children learn hand-eye coordination skills and concentration spans are also extended as they check out toys in our room. 😊 All of friends love the spontaneous singing to a wide variety of music here in the Babies 1 Room from Disney classics, Aboriginal music, multicultural songs and nursery rhymes. 😊 Our ‘Acknowledgement of Country’ is a part of our morning routines which most of the children predict and are very familiar with it as they learn through repetition by being a supportive environment with their regular educators. 😊 CHILDREN HAVE A STRONG SENSE OF IDENTITY which is LEARNING OUTCOME 1 of the EARLY YEARS LEANING FRAMEWORK which states –
• Children feel safe, secure and protected.
• Children develop emerging autonomy, inter-dependence, resilience and sense of agency.
• Children develop knowledgeable and confident self-identities.
• Children learn to interact in relation to others with care, empathy and respect.
Lastly but by no means leastly a BIG HAPPY BELATED 1st BIRTHDAY to our little Miller – we love seeing your grow and observing how far you have come with your days spent with us her in the Babies 1 Room. 😊
Thanks for a fantastic day – Miss Kate will be away tomorrow but the lovely Miss Dom will be here to fill her shoes! 😊
