Good afternoon, and welcome back after a wonderful long weekend!
In the babies one room this morning, we enjoyed some group time on the mat signing nursey rhymes, reading books, and playing with the puppets. The babies favourite nursey rhyme for today was ‘if your happy and you know it’, they love clapping along and joining in. Their favourite book for today was ‘touch and feel brown bear’ they love feeling all the different textures in the book, and hearing of bears adventures in the book.
Later through the day, we enjoyed some painting sensory activity, the babies got free raine to paint whatever their heart and imagination desires, using the colours yellow and blue with a hint of sand, to signify the ocean and beach like atmosphere. The babies love having the opportunity to express themselves freely, and immersing themselves in play based activities such as this one 😊
We later engaged the babies In another sensory activity, outside foam play. This activity really grabbed the babies attention, and stimulated their curiosity to the fullest. They found the foam very interesting to touch and squish between their fingers, but they found this particular activity very fascinating 😊
As the afternoon made its way around, we opened up the doors and enjoyed indoor outdoor play allowing the babies their free personal choice to decided where they would like to venture off too, and what activities spark their personal interest. The sandpit, and the reading and home corner being this afternoons popular choice 😊
Overall, today in babies one room we have enjoyed a terrific day full of sensory activities to stimulate, and engage our babies and most importantly smiles and laughter to carry us through 😊
