♥♥ HELLO BABIES 2!!! ♥♥
We have had a great day today. Miss T’arn and Miss Hope welcomed Skyla, Finley, Max, Halle, Liz and Cameron with big cuddles this morning. Everyone was so happy and excited to start the day!! Miss T’arn got some rice from Chef David to do a fun cognitive, fine motor and great hand-eye co-ordination for the children. She coloured half the rice green and the other half red. She put the rice onto a tray and had a bowl and spoon. She showed the children how to scoop the rice from the tray using the spoon and tipping it into the bowl. Each child took turns at trying this activity. They did AMAZING!! Their concentration and hand- eye co-ordination was great. The children have been doing an amazing job at meal times feeding themselves, I thought this would be a great way to extend on that! After the children all had a couple of turns scooping the rice they want to put their hands in the rice for some sensory play. Miss T’arn poored the rice onto the table and they all got excited and began to throw the rice all over the table and floor. There were lots of laughs and screams of excitement as they brushed the rice all over the table. Some of the children even began to try to blow the rice off the table!
This was so much fun!!!
