Hello Families,
Welcome to Monday in Babies 3,
We hope all our mums had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday and you were all very spoilt by your families.
Halle was first to arrive this morning and spent some time over in the toddler’s room with Miss Vanessa, investigating the puzzles before heading over to Babies’ 1 yard where we waited for all our friends to arrive. Parker and Liz were our next little friends to arrive, they enjoyed exploring the yard with Halle, riding the bikes, and climbing.
It is officially Parker’s first day with us in babies 3 and we are so excited to have you with us Parker. We are so proud of how quickly you have settled with your new educators in your new room. We look forward to building a strong bond with you and your family over the coming months.
It was time to head over to our room. There was lots of excitement as the recycled bottles filled with coloured water from Friday was set up in the room for our friends to play bowling. There were lots of giggles and cheers as we each took a turn at knocking down the bottles. Valencia arrived and joined in the fun. We continued to explore our environment. Parker sat up on the lounge with the drum. “bang, bang, bang” making her own music and looking up at her educators with a big smile. Our friend Theo arrived and had lots of cuddles with Mel and Vanessa as he is still settling into his new learning environment. We are proud of you Theo a few times throughout the morning you engaged in play and you were your happiest at mealtimes. You role-played in-home corner and sat with Miss Vanessa investigating the pop-up toy.
It was time for morning tea, we cleaned up our room and washed our hands when Luna arrived!! With big squishy cuddles Luna joined her friends at the table.
This week we are focusing on recycling. Last Week we were very inventive with the empty coke bottles and turned them into a fun bowling game. Today Miss Melinda brought in some toilet rolls for us with paint. Our friends have been loving Miss Vanessa doing some crazy hair styles with the rubber bands lately so today we thought we would make our own crazy hair people using the toilet rolls.
We all found our hats and headed outside to sit together at the table. Using green and pink paint and sparkly glitter we demonstrated our fine motor as we rolled the toilet rolls through the paint. It was a little messy but so much fun!! Liz, Valencia, Halle, and Parker kept squishing the cold sticky paint between their fingers. As fun as it was rolling the rolls through the paint it was even more fun painting the whole table!!
It was a little hot outside, so we headed back in to clean up ready for our Yoga class. We love yoga! Halle, Parker, Luna, Valencia, and Liz all joined in the stretches and games. We love the expanding ball where we practice our breathing.
What a huge morning we have had, we were all very tired. It was time to clean up the room and help find our beds. After washing our hands, we sat down at the table together and sung a few of our favourite nursery rhymes “Open, shut them”, “If your happy and You Know It” and “Head, Shoulders, Knees and toes” Mel lowered the blinds and put on some soft relaxing music as we all drifted off to sleep.
