Hello Families,

We have had a very busy day today. Our morning began in Babies 1. Halle, Peyton and Augie were the first of our little friends to arrive. They explored all the musical instruments today, giggling and sharing joy together. Liz arrived and had a short play using her fine motor skills stacking the rings on top of one another. It was time to head over to Babies 2. Wow so many toys to play with we love investigating the other rooms. So many different toys to investigate. Halle and Augie played in home corner together, Liz using her imagination held a piece of the rainbow up to her ear and began chatting away. Liz was using it as a telephone. Our friend Avery arrived. Avery brought in a Frozen book, we sat together and looked through the book over and over. We welcomed Delilah before heading over to our room for our morning tea. Today we had ….

After morning tea, we had some free play in our room. Augie is loving all the trucks, cars, fire engines and car mat in the room. He loves pressing all the buttons to hear the siren sound. Miss Mel brought a few new toys into the room today. A phone (as liz has been showing interest in role playing with other items by holding them up to her ear) a mixer for home corner and a new bottle to feed our babies with. We all practiced taking turns with the new toys as everyone was very excited.

As it was a wet rainy day and extending of Peyton’s interest of climbing yesterday Miss Melinda brought in the bridge and some soft blocks to climb safely inside. We were all very excited and cheered as Mel brought the equipment inside. Augie, Delilah, Peyton, Liz, Halle, and Avery all loved demonstrating their gross motor skills as they used their leg and arm muscles to pull up, jump off and crawl up and down the ramps.

We were all a little cooped up inside, as the rain had eased, we split into two groups and we decided we would have a short run around outside, we did some running races, continued our climbing skills and the slide was very popular.

It was time to head back inside to do some drawing, we love drawing, and all rushed over to the table waiting patiently as Mel handed out the crayons, creating wonderful masterpieces!!!!

It was time to clean our room, wash our hands, and sit down at the table together, we had all burnt off a lot of energy and ready for a rest. Mel put on some relaxing music as we ate our yummy sausage rolls and salad. We were cleaned up and laid down on our beds for a nice long nap.

We have had a wonderful Thursday; we hope all our families have too.

See you all very soon.

Miss Melinda and Miss Vanessa. xxxxxxxx
