Hello families,

Welcome to Wednesday in babies 3.

We would like to welcome a new little friend to our Babies 3 family, Landen has joined us! Landen has had an amazing first day too. He was a very busy bee exploring his new learning environments and particularly loved investigating the yard, he was so adorable doing laps around and around. We adore you already Landen and can’t wait to build on our relationship with both you and your family.

We spent most of our morning outside exploring. We noticed there was lots of climbing this morning so Miss Vanessa brought the ladder A Frame into the yard with soft mats so our friends could practice their climbing skills safety.

We all headed inside to clean up and wash our hands for morning tea. We were having so much fun playing and exploring outside. Charlie looked at Mel, pointed to the door and said “Outside Mel’s?” so we applied our sunscreen found our hats and headed back outside.

Our friends from Babies 2 joined us, we were having so much fun. Miss Melinda decided for our craft activity today we would take turns coming inside, Mel had an exciting collage planned.

This week we are celebrating Earth Day and today using assorted green paper, feathers, and ribbon we were making our very own trees.

Earth Day, celebrated on 22nd April each year, is the annual event dedicated to awareness about the various environmental challenges that face our planet. Co-ordinated by the Earth Day Network, 193 countries around the world have their own version of celebrations.

Avery, Halle, and Liz were first inside. Rushing over to the table very excited to see what was on the table. Miss Mel helped her friends with the glue and using their fine motor skills they each picked up the different textures of paper, ribbon and feathers and placed them onto their paper.

Landen and Charlie sat with Mel next. Mel told Charlie we were making a tree, Charlie looked up at Mel and said, “A tree Mel’s??” Landen was a little unsure however with a little encouragement from his educator he soon joined in.

Peyton and Oliva were next, Olivia loved rubbing the glue all over her paper and kept looking at her hands. Peyton was unsure about her fingers sticking together however she enjoyed placing the leaves on.

It was time for lunch, we were all very tired. Mel put on some soft relaxing music as we all washed our hands and sat down at the table together to eat our lunch. After lunch we were cleaned up and laid down for a nice long rest.

We have had a wonderful Wednesday.

See you all very soon

Miss Melinda and Miss Vanessa
