Hello Families,
Welcome to Wednesday in Babies 3.
Our day began over in Babies 1 where we explored our environment while we waited for more friends to arrive. Peyton and Charlie love spending time with baby Bentley, smiling at him, and softly stroking the top of his head.
Our friend Liz arrived sharing lots of cuddles with Mel and Vanessa. We decided to head on over to our room. Peyton, Liz, and Charlie began building towers together and playing with the dollies. Olivia and Avery arrived with big cuddles from their educators. Oliva was a little upset this morning after daddy dropped her off. However we showered her with cuddles, her new friend Avery was very concerned and also gave her the biggest hug which was so sweet to see.
Miss Vanessa played one of our favourite songs “sleeping bunnies” This is a great song as not only do our friends love doing all the actions it also calms everyone down as a few of our friends were a little unsettled this morning. Once the song finished Liz said “shark, shark!!” so we all danced to Baby shark together laughing and showing off our best dance moves. Miss Mel then played “Heads, Shoulders, Knees and toes” Charlie, Peyton, Avery, Liz, Olivia and our friends from Babies 2 joined us doing all the actions together. It turned into a big dance party!! We were having so much fun!!
It was time to say bye to our friends Avery and Peyton as they were spending the rest of the day over in Toddlers with Miss Gabi for a transition day. Avery cheered as Miss Gabi asked if her friends were ready to come for a play. We miss you girls already!!!!
We cleaned up our room and washed our hands as it was time for our morning tea. Charlie yelled “morning tea!” as Miss Laura brought morning tea into our room. We all get very excited when we see chef Laura!!
We spent time exploring our room as the rain started to pour down and it was too cold and wet outside. The colourful streamers were very popular today, twirling and dancing around the room with them and naming all the colours we could see. Winston, Parker and Charlie and Avery before going over to toddlers spent a lot of time exploring the musical instruments, making their very own music. It was a very musical day in babies 3 today.
Celebrating Mother’s Day this week today Miss Mel brought in some recycled cardboard tubes and turned them into the shape of hearts. We all sat together at the table and using Yellow, Red and Pink paint we all took turns dipping the tubes into the paint and creating a beautiful heart artwork which we will display outside our room for all our mummies to see. This turned into finger painting too as our babies love to touch and squish the cold sticky paint between our fingers.
We will extend on this next week by focusing on sustainability. If you have any plastic bottles, egg cartons, cardboard boxes etc. We would really appreciate it.
We cleaned up all our toys to our “clean up” song, washed our hands and sat down at the table together for our lunch. Miss Melinda closed the blinds and put on some soft music as we all settled on our beds for a nice big nap.
Thank you for a wonderful day babies, see you all very soon.
