Hello Families, Welcome to our day in babies 3,

Our morning began in Babies 1, Halle was our first little friend to arrive, with big cuddles from Miss Mel Halle soon began to explore the room. Halle loved investigating all the musical instruments, the Tambourine was her favourite. Halle then sat down quietly and looked through a book. Augie and Peyton arrived, and we decided to split into two rooms, so we headed over to Babies 2. Our friends Avery and Liz arrived and sat down with Augie, Peyton, and Halle to build towers with the colourful blocks, we all giggled every time one was knocked over.

It was such a beautiful morning outside, so we put our sunscreen and headed outside to find our hats.  Miss Mel set up the yard with some fun activities. Augie, Peyton and Halle couldn’t wait to knock down the towers of soft blocks. Avery sat in book corner engaged in the farm animal sensory book, she carried this book around with her while she explored the sandpit. Liz was having fun climbing and digging in the sandpit. Halle was also climbing and playing a game of hide and seek with Avery behind the hat pockets, they were laughing and sharing humour together. Peyton also joined in with her friends giggling at them as they surprised her peeking out behind the pockets. Luna arrived, found a hat, and headed straight over to the sandpit where she spent a lot of time digging and scooping up the sand.

It was time for our yummy morning tea, we all washed our hands and as our room was already clean, we sat down eagerly waiting for Miss Danica to serve up our cake and fruit. We all sipped our waters while we were waiting.

Being valentine’s day on Sunday Miss Mel set up an exciting Valentines sensory activity with pink rice, red feathers, heart shaped playdoh cutters, paper love hearts, pink and purple ribbon, purple and pink pom pom balls, spoons and sieve cups. We all headed back outside excited when Miss Danica asked for us all to sit on the grass, we couldn’t wait to see what was inside the tray. Wow!!! All hands in investigating all the different textures, Peyton even had a taste of the rice but quickly realised it wasn’t for eating. Using our fine motor, we scooped up the rice with the sieve cup and spoons and mixing it all around. Miss Mel showed us how by placing the rice into the sieve cups it was like rain falling down. What a fun, our babies just loved it and were so engaged in this experience.

We continued to explore the yard until it was time for lunch and to rest our bodies ready for this afternoon’s activities.  Miss Melinda is bringing the bubble machine outside!!

We have had a wonderful Tuesday, thank you babies for playing, exploring, and investigating with us today.

See you all very soon.

Miss Mel and Miss Danica xxxxxx
