Hello families, welcome to Monday in Babies 3.

Our morning began in Babies 2. Halle and Charlie were first to arrive. Miss Mel arrived with the most beautiful welcome and lots of cuddles. Liz arrived and we headed over to our room.

Charlie and Halle headed over to the dolls corner, Mel helped Charlie wrap her baby and put her to bed. Charlie patted the baby saying “shhh”. Halle also role played with he babies, feeding them and giving them cuddles.

Liz spent time over with the dolls house pulling all the furniture and dolls out to get a closer look.

Parker and Luna arrived and joined in with their friends, Parker played with the fine motor activity and Luna headed straight over to home corner.

It was time to clean up our room to our clean up song and wash our hands for morning tea. Theo was a little unsettled and didn’t’ eat much this morning. Mel brought the lawn mower into our room which helped to settle Theo. Mel got a few smiles as the morning went on.

Continuing with National Reconciliation week today our little friends made their very own Aboriginal Flags using their handprints. Miss Shae explained what the different colours of the flag represented.

Yellow circle – represents the Sun, the giver of life and protector. Red – represents the red earth, the red ochre used in ceremonies and Aboriginal peoples’ spiritual relation to the land and Black represented the Aboriginal people. Charlie said, “Yellow sun” and “black” Halle also repeated “black”. Liz said “wow” as Shae painted the sticky wet paint on her hand.  Parker and Valencia enjoyed their hands being painted too. They were very proud of their flags. Theo didn’t want to join in today, so he continued to explore the room.

It was little Smokey outside today so we couldn’t venture outside till it cleared. Our babies were so excited to find their hats and explore. The tunnel, bikes and prams, reading corner and the bead maze were very popular as was the slide.

Yoga time!!! We all enjoyed doing our stretches and practicing our breathing techniques while we danced and moved along to the music.

It was time to head back inside, clean up and enjoy our morning tea and settle down for a nice long nap.

Thank you for a great Monday babies, we hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Miss Melinda and Miss Shae xxxx
