Hello families, welcome to Monday in Babies’ 3,

Today we welcomed Winston, Isla, Matthew, Valencia, Theo, Parker, and Bella and Jhye. We shared lots of cuddles as they settled into their learning environment.

Our morning began exploring our outside environment. Miss Mel arrived just as we were about to have our morning tea.  Theo, Bella, Winston, Parker and Isa came rushing over for cuddles and to say hi. We then began a game of Peek a boo behind the pol, as we all walked around the pole Mel yelled “boo” and we all giggled.

We all sat down to sing our transition song when our friends Valencia and Matthew arrived. We all sung “Bee, bee bumble bee” together, acknowledging and saying our names as we took turns to wash our hands and sit down nicely as we waited for our yummy morning tea. Today we had Strawberry crostini with whipped vegan.

After morning tea, we explored our room. Theo and Valencia were role playing with the dolls, putting them to sleep in the cradle by patting them. Parker and Bella were busy cooking in home corner. Winston sat on the cushions cuddling the soft cuddly polar bear.

During free play Miss Otavia put on some nursery rhymes, Theo and Isla held each other’s hands and began dancing around and around in circles together. Bella requested “Baby Shark” and we all enjoyed a little boogie together before it was time for our activity for the day.

Extending on how much our babies loved the collage craft we did last week for Daffodil Day, Mel planned another activity however this time we used all different colours. There was assorted textured colourful paper, pom poms, paddle pop sticks, cotton balls and lots more!! Miss Otavia assisted us with using the glue. We each chose what we wanted to stick onto the paper. Parker and Theo loved picking up a handful of assorted items and throwing them on the paper. Winston, Bella, Valencia, and Isla picked one item at a time and carefully pressing it down so it would stick. Isla wasn’t too sure about her fingers sticking together though. Matthew was holding up each piece to show his educators what he was sticking down. Miss Otavia and Miss Jess named the colours their friends were holding.

After our activity, we cleaned up and headed back outside to explore. We all raced over to the sandpit and began digging, scooping, filling up buckets and throwing sand around, laughing. Valencia found a book to bring over to look through as her friends continued to play. Winston, Parker, Isla and Valencia also demonstrated their climbing skills over on the wooden bridge and  A Frames.

It was time to practice our breathing techniques and stretches during our yoga class, we are always so excited to see what fun things we will be doing during yoga every week. Today we enjoyed demonstrating our balancing skills on the wooden cradle and swishing the colourful scarves around.

Today’s group time we sat with Miss Mel outside to sing some of our favourite nursery rhymes. We sung “Incy Wincy Spider”, “Open, shut them”, “Old Macdonald” “Wheels on the bus” and “If your happy and you know it” Bella yelled out Pig during Old Macdonald and Matthew began making a pig noise and we all loved the part on wheels on the bus where the babies cry, “wah, wah, wah”.

It was time for lunch. Miss Otavia sung the bumble bee song to wash our hands where miss Mel was waiting to assist us while washing our hands. We then walked over and sat down for our yummy lunch Rainbow noodle Buddha bowl.

After we finished our lunch some of us enjoyed our bottles on the pillows before laying on our mattress, drifting off to sleep to some soft relaxing music. For afternoon tea we will have Chocolate beetroot brownies. This afternoon’s Play was outside, exploring our environment with bubble play.

See you all very soon.
