♥ GOOD AFTERNOON FAMILIES ♥
Welcome to Babies One!!
Today the children had the opportunity to decorate a boomerang in representation of the beginning of National Reconciliation week, using our had eye coordination and imagination we used cotton buds and the colours of the aboriginal flag (red, yellow and black) to create a wonderful piece of art as well as an array of different fun activities both inside and outside of the room. Some of our inside activities included were bubbles, reading books with educators, self-reflection in the mirrors, cars, and dancing to nursery rhymes. Outside we created a space on the mat with some Aboriginal music instruments and the children loved to play with them. The rainbow rain was very attractive for them, everyone had the chance to make some noise with it. They also explored other activities such a balls, climbing frame, threading activity centres, walking frames, singing songs at the fence with our toddler one friends, dollies, and bikes.
The children are thoroughly enjoying their enhancement of individual self-help skills, from feeding ourselves, asking for our water bottles, and also our own milestone enhancing, as educators we Tune in to children’s interests and skill levels and offer just enough support to help them do things for themselves.
We hope you enjoy your evening.
