Welcome to babies two room for another beautiful day. We welcomed Finley, Cameron, Thomas, Tairongo and Noah into their beautiful learning environment. It was a nice starting for the week as we had so much fun together during the day. Children have been choosing to play outside most of the day happily as usual. Tairongo was very interested playing with balls and he enjoyed throwing it and picking it up while running around the yard. Finley enjoys his balancing skills and gross motor skills most of the time so he chose to ride a bicycle outside as he can use his legs to get the strength to move the bicycle. Tairongo and Noah also joined with Finley to ride the bicycles together. Cameron was extremely interested with the climbing beam as he enjoyed crawl on it and walk around by holding the beam. Thomas enjoyed shaking sensory bottles and observe what’s inside the bottle. It was nice to see that everyone was engaging with outdoor activities to implement and develop their gross motor skills and physical skills.

we started our day playing inside as it is little bit cold in the outside these days. Children enjoyed exploring all the activities and experiences we set up inside. Finley enjoyed playing with the abacus puzzle and use his fingers to stack the rings fast. He loves fine motor skills. Noah also joined with Finley to stack the rings after he was playing with the trucks. Cameron enjoyed pushing two trucks around the room using his both hands. In the afternoon, we decided to do some sponge paintings using yellow and red colours to create a beautiful artwork. Finley used the sponge first to get some paint on the paper and enjoyed smashing the colours using his hands. Noah wasn’t sure about the sponge first and after I showed him how to use the sponge, he continued painting. Cameron was extremely excited to engage with the painting. He grabbed the sponge and chose the yellow colour first and then he mixed both yellow and red colours to continue his painting. He ended up with a such a beautiful paint as he painted the whole paper. Thomas has a such a patient on following instructions. He listened to Miss. Hansani first and then started to do his painting slowly. Tairongo enjoyed watching his friend’s art works while he was sitting on the chair before his turn. He was so happy to explore the colours first and use the colours one at a time.

 Group Times

As a group time, children have been implementing their self-help skills while having meals. so, they used bowls and spoons to feed by themselves. It was nice to see that all the children develop their skills together.

What I enjoyed today

We have been enjoying all the indoor and outdoor activities during the day especially the painting session and climbing beam.
