Good Afternoon Families!!
Welcome to babies two♥
This morning we welcome Emma, Indiana, Olive, Oskar, Roman, Asher and Austin with lot of cuddles. In the morning we spent some time with our friends from babies one and three inside the room exploring indoor activities. We had such a good time together playing with balls, reading the animal books, engaging with pretend play in the home corner cooking some delicious food and looking after the little dolls. We went outside to enjoy the sunny morning!! Asher and Roman loved playing in the bridge, they were excited to cross the bridge and confident to do this by themselves. Olive enjoyed bowling with the colourful bottles and the blue sensory balls, Miss Tatiane set up the bowling game and invited Olive to join, she got so excited and ran fast to her friends. Olive got so excited when she hit the bottles and all the bottles fell down. Oskar just loved pushing the baby pram all around the yard, he was smiling all time every time he passes by one of his friends. Indiana enjoyed steering a wheel and pretending that she was driving! Austin and Emma played together in the sandpit, and they filled the castle shape bucket to do a beautiful sand castle in the sand. For morning tea, we enjoyed Scrumptious bananarama split
For the group time, we played music such as ‘’baby shark, wheels on the bus, Five little ducks, head shoulders knees and toes, sleeping bunnies’’. Olive and Asher did a couple dancing to the ‘’baby shark’’ song. For the science week we prepared for an ice cube painting. For this experience we put some water with food colouring into an ice cube tray. Then we put paddle pops in each little tray and froze them over night. So we provided them white papers and let them to choose any colour of ice cube from the tray. They loved choosing their favourite colour and wait until they melt to do their painting. Once it started melting they ran their ice cubes fast on the white paper to make it colourful. Once the children finished their art work they played with the ice cubes and watched they melt on their hands. For lunch we enjoyed Friday toast it up meal. For afternoon tea we will be enjoying Chocolate topped rice and sunflower slice. In the afternoon we will be enjoying some outdoor free experiences and then we will be engaging with some indoor free experiences.
We practiced our self-help skills by using spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles, find the water bottles, and wash our hands. Our new goal is encouraging children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after mealtime. We encourage children to find their own cot now. For the one-on-one time, we practiced colours that we used for the ice cube painting as we are focusing on practicing colours through science week experiences. For this we used flash cards and colourful blocks. Today children enjoyed the experiences we planned for the day both indoor and outdoor. Children specially enjoyed engaging with ice cube painting to demonstrate their creativity.
Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane♥
