Good afternoon families!
Welcome to babies two… Today we welcomed Parker, Olive, Bella, Daris, Austin, Nash and Oskar this morning. The weather is bit wet today so we spent most of the day inside exploring indoor activities. This morning we enjoyed our yummy morning tea while we were all sitting together nicely at the table. Then the Funky Feet arrived to do some dancing. Olive, Parker, Bella, Daris and Oskar had so much fun dancing to the ‘’Baby Shark’’ and ‘’Row Row Row your boat’’. They loved moving their hands and legs with the teacher to learn some dancing steps. Austin enjoyed watching his friends and do some simple movements using his hands with Miss.Lara. Nash enjoyed crawling on the mat as he got so excited to see so many friends in his room.
Then we sat at the table to engage with some science experiences. Miss.Hansani brought in some vinegar, baking soda, salt and some food colouring for the experience. The first experience was mixing the baking soda and vinegar with colours to make a little volcano. We did this experience few times as the children love to see the reaction, the colours and some of kids missed the day we did. Daris Olive, Parker and Bella absolutely loved this idea. Bella started to point at the volcano saying ‘’bubbles bubbles’’. Olive was able to recognise the red colour and green colour. Parker and Daris did not want to end this experience as they started to say ‘’ more..more’’ when all the bubbles disappear. So, we decided to set up another activity as an extension which was mixing colours with salt. We let the children drop some colours on a tray with full of salt to see the way it spreads as soon as they drop the colours. It was such a good opportunity to practice our words.
Then we opened the doors to go outside after the rain stopped. Everyone was so excited, so we did some climbing and walking around the yard before the lunch time.
Much love Miss.Hansani and Miss.Lara
Note- we are having a trouble of uploading some photos today and we are so sorry for that
