Good afternoon families!!

Welcome to babies two♥♥

Happy Friday…. Miss Tatiane was away today as she wasn’t feeling hundred percent. Guess what Miss Jess joined with babies two to spend her Friday. We explored lots of indoor experiences in the morning. Olive and Chester had such a beautiful time laying on the mat this morning. Olive invited Chester to come and lay down on the mat and they started smiling each other and communicate with facial expressions. Austin came back after being away for few days and he was really confident and excited to join with his friends this morning. He sat on the mat with Miss Hansani and then Miss Hansani offered his favourite puzzle to transition him smoothly with his peers. Olive joined with Austin to make a tower on the puzzle by putting the blocks one on one slowly. She would encourage Austin saying ‘’Austin’s turn’’ ‘’Here you go Austin’’. Indiana was so excited to walk into her room this morning. Indiana loves touching the little sensory blocks and feel the different kind of textures. She grabbed 3 blocks and offered Miss Hansani to have a look with a big smile on her face. She loves talking using her own language and communicate with her facial expressions and gestures. For morning tea, we enjoyed muffins and banana

For the group time we played ‘’baby shark’’ song as Olive requested that song when we ask ‘’which song we should play for dancing’’. Then we played the music and let the children enjoy the music as they like. Olive, Chester and Indiana were so excited to demonstrate their dancing skills. Austin and Asher enjoyed watching their friends while sitting on the mat clapping. For the Early Learning Matters Week, We set up a farm animals experience under ‘’Enclosing’’ theme. Outside we placed the black tray in the shade and spread rice and sand to the bottom of the tray. Then we added brown colour shredded papers to make it looks like a farm and give the children that experience as best as we can. Then we placed the farm animals such as cows, horses, ducks, goats, pigs, chickens with trees and fence around. That looked amazing. Children were so excited to explore the farm so they all sat around first and observed a bit before touching them. Olive recognised almost all the animals and made the sound they make such as cow, horse, pig and duck. Asher, Indiana and Chester loved playing with individual animals and feed them rice and shredded papers. Austin slowly showed an interest of touching the animals and then play with the rice and sand on the bottom of the tray.

Today Miss Lea came to visit us with branches, plants, stick insects, Koala mom and a baby koala soft toy. We got all the children to play on the mat before we started. Everyone was very curious to see what’s Miss Lea going to show us. Mis Lea started explaining how the plants start to grow with seeds and the story of birds eating fruits and birds poo contains seeds and once the poo reaches soil the seeds grow again and grow up into a big tree. Then Miss Lea showed us how much Koala loves being on the trees and enjoy eating leaves. Then we had this beautiful opportunity to observe stick insects very close who exactly look like sticks, and you wouldn’t even notice it’s an animal. Then we watched Miss Lea watering the plant and at the end we listened to a beautiful song called ‘’ cover me in sunshine’’. Olive, Chester, Asher, Indiana and Austin listened to Miss Lea and enjoyed the whole experience and sat there for half an hour without any noise. That’s how much they loved the experience. For lunch we enjoyed Fish/ vegetable tacos with salad bar

For afternoon tea we will be having energy bars with seasonal fruits. In the afternoon we will be enjoying some outdoor free experiences and then we will be engaging with some indoor free experiences.

We practiced our self-help skills by using spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles, find the water bottles and wash our hands. Our new goal is encourage children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after meal time.

Austin engaged with lots of one-on-one times today to support him with settle in his room. Miss Hansani and Miss Jess encouraged Austin to engage with his favourite puzzle and create a big tower by putting them one on one. He absolutely loved it. Also we encouraged children with using simple words such as ‘’please, Thank you, Water and bye bye..’’.

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room.

Much Love Miss Hansani and Miss Jess♥
