Hello all the families

Welcome to babies two room. Miss.Hansani welcomed Finley, Noah, Thomas and Cameron in the morning to their wonderful learning environment. Skyla and Tairongo enjoyed their day with Miss.Kate and babies one friends today. It has been an amazing day as all the children enjoyed different learning experiences during the day.

This week, we are going to focus on reconciliation as we can develop our awareness of learning outcome 2 ‘’ Children are connected with and contribute to their world’’. So, Miss. Hansani started our day with nice painting session with red, black, and yellow colours to paint the Aboriginal Flag. It was a great time as all the children loved to use paint brushes to colour the whole paper. This experience provided them an opportunity to develop and implement their gross motor and fine motor skills and the awareness of our cultures.

After the painting session, children have been choosing to explore some activities inside. Today we have introduced some colourful building blocks to babies two learning environment to extend our learning skills through building towers. Thomas, Finley, Noah and Cameron were so excited to put and fix the blocks by putting one on one. They chose different colours and different sizes to create their own tower. This was a great opportunity to develop our fine motor skills.

We enjoyed our day spending outside in the afternoon. Cameron enjoyed the sand tub as he loves sensory activities and enjoyed his balancing skills walking around the yard holding the fence. Thomas loved to ride the tricycle and push the police car as he was so excited to demonstrate his abilities with gross motor and balancing skills. Noah and Finley enjoyed walking and balancing on the steps together. And they were so excited to show their head, eyes, ears and mouth when I was singing ‘’heads shoulders knees and toes’’ .We had a nice time doing peek-a-boo and baby shark while playing outside.

Have a lovely day…

Much love from Miss.Hansani..
