Good afternoon families!
Welcome to babies two…Happy Monday. We started our day exploring some outdoor experiences today. Nash loved to spend time looking at the car park as people are drive in and out all morning. Olive loved to play with her friends from next door playing with the dolls and rock them on arms. Then we headed back to our room and then Valencia arrived. We enjoyed our morning tea and explored some indoor experiences next. We set up our table with sensory wooden cards and Nash, Valencia and Olive loved to play with them touching and feeling the different textures. They also loved the magnifying glass as they can see everything bigger when they hold it closer to their eyes. Olive had so much fun looking at her friends faces through that.
Then we set up the wooden arc with vertical and horizontal train tracks which is good for developing fine motor skills for our babies. Valencia loved it. She put few trains on the track and started to push them slowly until the end. Then she joined with Olive and enjoyed stacking rings together. Then we had a story time. We read the new sensory book called ‘’Rainbow’’. Children absolutely loved it as it has different colours and textures. This week we will be doing Autumn crafts and some related activities. Today we did finger painting using Autumn inspired colours Yellow and orange. Olive, Valencia and Nash absolutely loved them as they can simply touch the paint and run their fingers on the paper to create a beautiful painting. Then we sat around the table after washing our hands and played with the sensory bottles until the lunch is arrived.
Much love Miss.Hansani and Miss.Jess
