GOOD AFTERNOON FAMILIES!!

Welcome to babies two♥

This morning we welcomed Olive, Emma, Oskar, Austin, Forrest, Loki, Chester and Asher this morning with lots of cuddles. Austin was really excited to come to kindy this morning and it was the best drop off. Austin came to Miss Hansani straight away and gave a high five for mom. Well-done Austin. Today is the first day that Emma’s spending time with Miss Hansani and she made such a strong bond with her educators straight away. In the morning we spent some time exploring indoor experiences with babies three friends and went outside to engage with some outdoor activities we set up. Chester, Loki and Oskar demonstrated lots of gross motor skills by climbing on the climbing beams, walking on the balancing bridge and crawling under the tunnels. Emma and Olive loved playing together with the dolls, pushing the trucks on the floor and pushing the prams with dolls. Forrest and Chester happily played in the sand pit digging the sand with the excavators and fill them into backets. For morning tea, we enjoyed delicious pumpkin, chia and apple waffle.

For the group time we read. the mini books with the pictures such as animals, Flowers, Sea creatures, numbers and letters. Next, we did some dancing as Forrest requested the ‘’Baby shark’’ song and Olive requested ‘’Wheels on the bus’’ song. For the Science week we set up the table with different colours of blocks with baking soda and food colouring inside and some vinegar in a side to make colourful volcanos.  We got all the children to stand around the table and started explaining what we were about to do and the colours we are going to use. Olive, Forrest and Loki would repeat the colours after me. Then Miss Hansani poured the vinegar into the blocks to see the reaction of baking soda and vinegar. It exploded like a volcano and the best part was the little bubbles came out with different colours. Children got so excited after seeing the volcano. Loki, Oskar and Olive asked for more saying ‘’more please…more please’’ until we ran out of vinegar. That was such a cool experiment. For lunch we enjoyed loaded butter chicken with turmeric rice. For afternoon tea we will be enjoying Maxi dips and corn tortilla chips. We practiced our self-help skills by using spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles, find the water bottles and wash our hands. Our new goal is encouraging children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after mealtime. . We encourage children to find their own cot now

For one-on-one time practiced the colours that we used for the volcano experience. The colours we practiced were Red, Green, Yellow and Red.

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room.. Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now.. All the parents you are more than welcome to bring us some ideas for the ‘’science week’’ this week.

Today all our babies enjoyed both indoor and outdoor experiences. They absolutely enjoyed the volcano experience.

Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane
