Good Afternoon Families!!

Welcome to babies two♥♥

Today we welcomed Olive, Daisy, Chester, Oskar, Loki and Braxton this morning. Tommy joined with us after lunch time to spend his day with his friends. In the morning we encouraged children to explore free experience as their own interest. Chester and Oskar enjoyed playing in the home corner opening and closing the doors of the fridge, Oven, Microwave and the sink. Then they decided to stack rings on the mat. Oskar and Chester absolutely enjoyed picking up the rings one by one from the ground and stack them slowly. Loki also joined with Oskar and Chester and enjoyed stacking rings and then stacking blocks. Braxton and Daisy had so much fun playing with the bigger version of fidget spinners. They placed them on the mirror and started spinning them. Olive played some musical instruments such as shakers and tile pianos. She showed Miss Hansani saying ‘’Piano’’. For morning tea, we enjoyed homemade beans on sourdough Turkish. For the group time we decided to sit on the mat and play our musical instruments. Olive, Oskar, Loki and Braxton joined with this experience, and they enjoyed playing some musical instruments such as Tamborine, shaker, drums and tile pianos.

Today we engaged with a painting using seashells that Olive brought for her friends. We set up the table with a paint tray with blue and white colour paint, light blue papers and seashells. We used ocean inspired colour for this experience. We let the children to touch and observe the seashells first. They loved touching the wavy side of the shells and feel the difference of the surface. Olive, Oskar, Braxton, Chester, Daisy and Loki successfully engaged with the experience. They carefully held the seashell to dip in the paint and spread the colours on the paper

Miss Mell made lots of jelly for both babbies two and three rooms for the ‘’SCIENCE WEEK’’.  She made two tubs of jelly one with yellow colour and the other one with red colour with animals in it. So, we let the children to touch and feel the texture, the stickiness and the wobbliness of the jelly. Also encouraged children to rescue the animals from the jelly. Everyone had so much fun putting their hands in and find the animals to rescue them. The reason we chose this experience and use yellow and red jelly is to show children that once the jelly starts melting, the red colour and yellow colour jelly start to mix together and create orange colour as a result of that. For lunch we enjoyed a rainbow sushi bawl. For afternoon tea we will be enjoying organic chocolate zucchini cake.

For one-on-one time today we engaged with children to do stacking with stacking rings, blocks and turtles as they showed an interest of stacking rings this morning as a group.

Tommy loves rolling on his tummy and roll back on his back by himself. So we put some toys in front of Tommy to encourage him to reach them. He would grab a toy and lay on his back and play with them. Once he finished playing with one toy, he would grab another one. Well done showing your gross motor skill.

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room..Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now. All the parents you are more than welcome to bring us some ideas for the ‘’science week’’ this week.

Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Jin…
