Good afternoon families!

Welcome to babies two♥

Loki, Daisy, Asher and Oskar with lots of cuddles. Miss Hansani is dressed up like a Tiger today and Miss Tatiane is dressed up like the Safari Girl. We are so happy to see all the book week dress ups today and can’t wait to see more exciting costumes for the rest of the week. In the morning, we explored outside experiences with our friends from babies three and then we come inside to do some activities. Chester just loved the “hide and seek in a Forrest” book that Miss Denise read it to him. He was so excited to discover the animals who was hiding behind the bushes. Oskar enjoyed playing with the colourful rings and see them spinning around in the stick. Olive was so entertained with the puzzle with numbers, she was carefully trying to put the number in the correct place. Daisy enjoyed the sensory book, and she loved the sensory pages. Loki enjoyed playing with the green balls, he thew them to Braxton and Braxton would throw them back. Asher joined with us for the morning tea. Everyone was so excited to show their dress ups for the book week. For morning tea, homemade beans with sourdough turkish

For the group time our children combined with our friends from babies 3. We set up a spider sensory tray as an extension!!! In the black tray we had a big cobweb, a special spider mask and some insects such as, bugs, worm and flies. We sang “Itsy Spider” song and the children just loved it, they all pretended to be spiders crawling on the ground.. Braxton loved the little bugs and he put them on the spider web, like he was feeding the spiders. Chester liked the little snakes and when Miss Tatiane asked him ‘’what does snake say?’’…He replied ‘’shhhh…shhhh..’’ Today for, our story time we combined with our friends from babies 3 to read some special books!!!  Miss Mel read an amazing book called “Dear Zoo”. The children discovered which animals were in which box. Olive loved the book as when a tiny box appears, she would point at the animals saying “it is frog!!!” Braxton was so excited to find the tiger. He laughed making the sound of tiger as soon as he found the tiger from the box. We read two amazing books that Loki and Olive brought to share with their friends. Today Loki was dress up as a Santa Claus!!! So, he brought a beautiful book called “Santa’s Surprised”. He sat close to Miss Tatiane and helped her to read the book to his friends.. Olive was dressed up as a Princess and she brought a collection book from Princess, and we read the “Rapunzel” book. she sat on her lap and pointed the book characters to her friends.  Everyone enjoyed listening to both stories.. As an extension to the Sensory tray activity, we set up the table with a spider painting!

We used a white paper and a dark purple painting to create a big spider. We put the painting on a tray and let the children to dip their hands in paint and make handprints to create a spider. They loved the experience of touching the paint! Asher loved to feel the cold paint on his hands. Loki paid attention to his friends first and when it was his turn, Loki was super excited to sit at the table and dip his hands in paint. When Olive saw the colour of the paint she said, “Purple….purple paint.. For lunch we enjoyed rainbow sushi bowl. For afternoon tea we will be enjoying organic chocolate zucchini ‘beany’ cake

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room.
