Welcome to babies two ♥
This morning Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Braxton, Oskar, Chester, Scottie and Daisy. We started our day exploring outdoor experiences as the weather was beautiful. In babies one yard Scottie engaged with a maze puzzle and enjoyed playing with soft blocks and clap using the blocks. Oskar was interested on stacking the big wooden shapes and to engage with doing a shape puzzle. In the big yard, Daisy enjoyed pushing a wheelbarrow around and then she decided to sit on the wheelbarrow and ask Miss Tati to push her around the yard. Chester enjoyed walking on the balancing bridge with Oskar and Braxton and then he decided to put the big floor puzzle together. He carried them to the soft fall area to put them together. Braxton loved playing in the sand pit and hide his arm under the sand. Oskar transitioned to babies three after morning tea and he did really well sleeping on the mat with his new friends next door for the first time. For morning tea, children enjoyed yogurt, strawberry jam, granola and banana.
Today Miss Mel read a story called ‘’Go Giggleosaurus’’ while everyone was sitting at the book corner outside. Braxton, Daisy and Oskar listened to the story while they were having their bottles while laying on a comfy mat. Chester sat next to Miss Mel and had a look at each page and listened to the story. Chester was really excited to pick some words and repeat them after Miss Mel. Scottie was very excited to be outside and listened to the story as she gave us the biggest smile while listening to the story. She would point at the book and clap when she sees the big Colouful pictures on the book.
As an extension we created a dinosaur world using sand, leaves, bark, dinosaurs, dinosaur skeletons and microfiber glasses. We encouraged children to find the dinosaur skeletons and put in a basket while they were engaging with this sensory tray. Chester and Braxton helped Miss Tai to find the hidden dinosaur skeletons and put in the basket while Oskar and Daisy enjoyed playing with the different varieties of dinosaurs. Then we all started to find all the skeletons hidden in the sand. Next, we fed the dinosaur with leaves and had a dinosaur race on the bark. It was s much fun. For lunch, we enjoyed yummy pizza scrolls along with a salad bar. We will be enjoying Organic Apple, cranberry and with bean crumble bars for afternoon tea.
For one-on-one time, Chester practiced his friend’s names and when Miss Hansani asked everyone to sit at the table he would say his friends names and ask them to sit down… ‘’Braxton sit down please…Daisy sit down please’’.. Scottie practiced walking as usual and she raed a book with Miss Hansani called ‘’That’s not my puppy’’. Scottie’s favourite part was touching the sensory pages of the book.
We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room.
Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now.
