Good afternoon families!!

Welcome to babies two ♥

This morning Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Oskar, Braxton, Indiana, Loki, Zeppelin, Forrest and Austin. All the children took their kindy photos this morning and Loki headed to the toddler’s room for his transitioning after playing with his favourite wheelbarrow outside. He was so excited to push this loaded wheelbarrow around the yard. Forrest enjoyed playing outside and he found a basket while he was playing so, he decided to put it on his head like a hat. Once he realised, he can cover his whole face with the basket, he started doing peek-a-boo with Miss Tatiane. He would cover and uncover his face saying peek-a-boo. Indiana enjoyed reading a book called ‘’my first fruits’’ and then rock on the dinosaur. This morning she was so excited to wave to the people who passes our yard. Oskar found his favourite soccer balls, so he decided to play with Braxton. Oskar would kick the ball towards Braxton and Braxton would pick it up and throw it towards Oskar using his both hands. Austin enjoyed walking on the balancing bridge and go on the slide with a little support from Miss Jin. Zeppelin had his morning nap and he enjoyed more one on one time during the day. For morning tea, we enjoyed avocado chocolate slices

For the story time we read a story called ‘’the dot’’. Miss Tati turned the pages one by one and explained the scenario and the pictures they can see. At the end of the story Miss Tati let the children to have a look at the book by encouraging them to turn the pages by themselves.

We set up the table with pink. Green and blue colours, and some cotton tips to engage with a dot painting. Everyone sat at the table nicely and listened to Miss Tati first as she explained children how to use cotton tips for this experience. Then we let the children to choose any colour they like and create their own beautiful dot painting. This was such a great opportunity to practice their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination skills. For lunch, we enjoyed a delicious lasagne. For afternoon tea, we will be enjoying sweet pea and smash avocado dip with pita crisps.

We practice our self-help skills by using forks and spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles and wash our hands. Our new goal is encouraging children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after mealtime. We encourage children to find their own cot now. We encourage older children to walk to the bathroom and use the stairs to reach to the changing mat and wash their hands after changing nappies by themselves.

For one-on-one time, Zeppelin was encouraged to hold his milk bottle by himself. Miss Hansani encouraged Zeppelin to use his both hands to hold his bottle. Zeppelin was very confident holding his bottle himself and he didn’t let it go until he finished the whole bottle.

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room. Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now..

Remind – Please fill the bottle receipt on the front desk for each day

Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane♥
