Welcome to babies two ♥

This morning Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane welcomed Forrest, Oskar, Loki, Austin, Zeppelin, Braxton and Indiana with lots of cuddles. We stayed combined for a bit with babies one and three friends exploring indoor experiences together.  Miss Hansani is dressed up as Thing one today! Loki was dressed up like a dinosaur today!! Forrest dressed up as the ‘’Thomas’’. Austin was the peter rabbit today.

While we were inside children enjoyed playing with the colourful spinners, cooking some food in the home corner, reading the little books and throwing balls to each other. Forrest loved reading the little book about the colours and he tried to recognise the colours.! Oskar and Loki played together with the spinners at the table. They sticked the spinners on both side of the table and spined them as fastest as they can. They loved doing this together.  Indiana enjoyed playing in the home corner with the dolls. She sat on the doll chair as she was holding the babies. Zeppelin enjoyed playing on the mat with the soft blocks.  He is able to roll on his tummy and roll back on his back by himself. Austin and Braxton joined us to have a delicious morning tea. For morning tea, we enjoyed coconut strawberry delight. For the group time we pretend writing some letters to the zoo. We offered children with white papers and textures to do their own drawing.

Today we did our activities outside with our friends from babies three. Miss Mel set up a beautiful Animal Post Office with lot of animals, such as lions, monkey, elephant, hippopotamus, and a tiger. As we already made the post cards, we let the children to put them in the post box pretending that we were going to send them to the Zoo. Everyone was so excited of this experience, and they couldn’t wait to post their post cards. Miss Mel sang the song ‘’Bee bee bumble bee’’ and when Miss Mel says their names, it’s time to put their own post card. Everyone waited to hear their names. For lunch we enjoyed wholesome shepherds pie bites with cauliflower mash. For afternoon tea we will be enjoying scroggin trail mix.

We practiced our self-help skills by using spoons for mealtime to feed ourselves, put the hats on, find the drink bottles, find the water bottles and wash our hands. Our new goal is encouraging children to put their dishes, bibs and drink bottles away in the baskets after mealtime. We encourage children to find their own cot now. For one-on-one time we engaged with reading stories. We let the children to choose their favourite book and encouraged them to recognise the pictures of the book. We have been mainly focusing on developing their language skills by encouraging them to practice simple words during one on one time.

We have put up the daily blog, daily programming and daily pictures up on the wall just before where we enter to the babies room. Miss Jess has created a book called babies two memories with photos of special experiences that we engaged with. Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane will continue the book. Parents can have a look at the book any time, it will be displayed on the parents hub just before you enter to the room.

Please pack some clothes for warm weather as it can get really warm in the afternoon now.. Please fill the bottle receipts for each day. Thank you!

Much love Miss Hansani and Miss Tatiane!!
