Hello Riversdale family and friends,

Welcome to a little insight of today’s fantastic and fun Friday in Kindergarten 1 🙂

To begin our day, we all joined for a morning group time with Miss Tatyana. We welcomed each other and our educators nicely in the native Indigenous Yugambeh language. We also worked together to complete our daily calendar and talk about events happening, our days of the week and the season we’re in. We love getting to know and understand our environment and world.

After filling our tummies up with some refreshing morning tea, we got to engage in a range of classroom activities. Today we loved coming up with interesting stories and using our wild imaginations. Each of our stories are unique and it has been great to see the children come up with it all on their own. We can’t wait for you all to read them!

Today we got to be such big helpers to rearrange the classroom. This required lots of teamwork and being able to follow instructions well. In saying that, we were all eager to help which is great to see Kindy class show their willingness, strength and enthusiasm to lend a helping hand. We even got to renew some of our shelves and give our input on what resources to put out based on our interests. This was very important as Mr Andrew and Miss Tatyana want their learning environment to be as positive and engaging as possible. Awesome job friends, we were very lucky!

It was then time for our Funky Feet Dance lesson! We got to participate and combine with Kindergarten 2 and show off our dance moves. Today we practiced some of our favorite routines and the classroom was full of high and happy energy! We love Dance 🙂

Following on from that, Kindy 1 made their way to the treehouse for a quick sports and movement session before coming inside for lunch and quiet time. Today we got involved in some of our favorite tagging games like ‘stuck in the mud’ and the ‘tiger game’. One child got to name different animals and when they name the tiger everyone must run to the safe spot before the child catches them with a hoop. We had lots of fun 🙂

Thank you everyone for a happy day and a great week! Have a safe and enjoyable weekend 🙂

NOTE: The photos for today’s blog are on display as you enter the classroom.

Kind regards,

Mr Andrew and Miss Tatyana
