Hello Riversdale families,
Happy Friday!!
This morning we started our day amongst our outdoor yard in the beautiful weather 🙂
As we transitioned inside we all helped one another complete our daily calendar. We also read a kindness story today and sang some of our favorite songs as we transitioned into morning tea.
We then began our day and were ready to engage in our classroom activities. Today we enjoyed our car and track play as well as our fine motor practical activities. We also enjoyed digging up fossils and exploring our science area that highlighted the topic of Dinosaurs. We had lots of fun getting a little insight on Paleontology this week. Good job little scientists 🙂
Today Kindergarten class thoroughly engaged in lots of arts and craft activities! We got creative and used those skills to make things and express ourselves. We colored, glued, got creative with materials and even participated in a fun painting activity that involved painting our faces in the mirror and stamping our paper on it. We were really happy with how it all turned out!
Soon it was time for us all to join in our weekly Funky Feet lesson with Miss Jen. Kindergarten followed her steps, actions and danced to some funky songs with some cool props. We love letting out our energy in dance and having a laugh with our friends 🙂
Following that, we all got to participate in an outside game that continued on from yesterday – the number hunt! For those of us who didn’t get to do it yesterday, we all went on a hunt around the playground to try and find the number cards that we were given clues to. The game required good listening skills, critical thinking and teamwork skills. We had so much fun!Â
We then all helped prepare for lunch and a rest time, ready for the remainder of our day. Thanks Kindergarten 1 for an awesome end to our week.
We hope you have all had a fabulous Friday and a have a happy weekend! We will see you all in the new week 🙂
Kind regards,
Mr Andrew and Miss Tatyana
