Happy Thursday families and friends…

Today in the Kindergarten 2 Room we started our day with ARAKAN Martial Arts with Mr Daniel. The children were excited to be the first group to make their way to the outdoor classroom for our weekly session. The children took turns chasing the gloves and bringing them back to Mr Daniel and practicing a variety of skills which requires the children to listen carefully, concentrate and follow directions. Once we returned to our room the children enjoyed sharing our morning greetings, Days of the Week song and ‘Acknowledgement of Country’.

After morning tea the children were keen to engage in self-select experiences including animal puzzle play, role play in home corner – cooking, taking care of the dolls, creating a picnic and taking care of each other with the doctors and nurses kit, while Miss Leesa prepared the tables with some planned activities. Today we continued on with number recognition, counting and sequencing games.  The children have been responding so well to these challenges and experiences.

Group time today we shared a book brought along by our friend Zachary entitled ‘Living with Water’. The story taught us very important messages about how to be safe when playing around and swimming in water. Valuable lessons to learn when so many of us are spending our weekends cooling off swimming during the hot summer months.

Well… I hope you all have a lovely evening…

Until next time…

Love Miss Leesa
