Happy Tuesday
Today the Kindergarten and Senior Kindy room combined in together as their has been a course happening in the centre for the last three Tuesdays. This gave the children the opportunity to play together and make some more friends. It was a beautiful morning play outside on the grass area with beautiful experiences set up for the children. Our friend Mia spotted a baby bird sitting in the garden bed over the fence. The children all ran over to observe the bird. Miss TJ helped the bird into a basket where we move it to a safe area away from the road.
After morning tea we had a group time on the mat. Miss TJ read ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ using pictures of each character and props on a whiteboard. The Kindergarten ad Senior Kindy children were so engrossed in the story waiting to see what would happen next. They all giggled at the higher and lower voices that Miss TJ was making for each character. We then headed back outside to the nice warm weather for our activities. On the tables we had playdough with tools, wooden construction bolts and screws set, free drawing with the crayons and puzzles. The children also had lots of fun exploring the coloured rice tray table with scoops, cups and funnels. Miss Emma also brought out a wooden croquet set to play on the grass while we listened to some nice background dance music.
Miss Gabby brought us inside for our Yoga Lesson. We sang along to our hello song and practiced some poses. The children did a great job at practicing calm breathing with our hands on our bellies. We were introduced to Calm the Caterpillar while we danced along to some music and then stopping to do animal poses.
Before lunch we read ‘Scarface Claw’ and ‘Barry, the fish with fingers and the scary monster’
