Welcome to our Friday blog. The year is slowly winding down and the centre has a nice relaxed feel with everyone enjoying games and talking about what is going on in their lives at the moment with family visiting or holidays being planned.
In the morning Mace, Harper and Kerim gathered to read some different stories in the shade of the Pre-Kindy verandah. Their favourite was the bug book which had lots of fascinating pictures and facts to read. We practiced sounding out different letters to figure out the name of each bug.
Mariah, Ellie and Kianni enjoyed some more active play on the swings and with the bikes.
Once all of our friends had joined us we headed inside for a group time where we welcomed Chi, Kaylee, Maia, Milly and Ayla who will be with us in the Kindergarten next year. They were keen to explore all the different activities on the shelf and everyone made them feel welcome.
Popular activities today included:
- home corner meal making
- making marble obstacle courses
- new puzzles brought by Miss Dom
- coloured counter activities
- testing our muslce strength with some HUGE carpet sample books
We also got outdoors before lunch to play some group games and test our balancing skills. Later in the afternoon we will be up at the double slide playground where the children love darting in between the trees, slides and fences playing various different games.
Goodbye and good luck to all our Kindergarten friends leaving us for prep next year. I’m sure we will see many of you at before or afterschool care as well.
