TGI Friday at Kindergarten! And what a day it has been!
The weather was not in our favour but spirits where high this morning so we keep things indoors with a range of activities from making robots and cars with building blocks; making and moulding fresh warm new orange playdough; a splash of creative arts; reading and of course cooking up a storm in the home corner!
While there was a break in the rain, quickly made our way to the outdoor education area for some fun Halloween dress up games and physical action games while the rain began to pour down all around us all the while keeping dry and having so much fun outside. It was almost like going camping on a rainy day.
Once the rain subsided we all made another yet another quick break to our room for continued indoor activities and the always much anticipated morning tea snacks! Today’s menu was toast and beans with an assortment of fruits. Delicious!
After clearing away our dirty plates, it was time to play again! Lego, kinetic blocks, drawing, reading, home corner (Which by this stage had turned in a “Kmart’ with Graysen and Liam self deputised as the newly appointed General Managers. We also got to ice and decorate some biscuits for our afternoon tea later in the day and listen/sing along to some Disney movie classics, including tracks from Moana, The Lion King, Aladdin, Pocahontas, and so much more. It was so much fun!
Another reason we love Friday’s so much is that its DANCE DAY with Miss Jen. Today we did the skeleton dance, Halloween musical freeze and practiced our rollie poly’s.
