Welcome to a new week everyone! We hope everyone has had a fun and relaxing weekend, the children certainly came in happy and ready to start the week. We all arrived and went outdoors for a small play in the playground before coming indoors and speaking about graduation THIS FRIDAY! Ellie also brought a funny book called Mr Silly which everyone enjoyed. Feel free to bring along some of your own books from home as the children always love getting new stories!

After our yummy morning tea we went into some of today’s activities which included some “code-breaker” games with coloured counters. It requires problem solving and logic to figure out the pattern based on the feedback. Others enjoyed some cutting activities with scissors and making some fake “snow” to get in the mood for Christmas. Some children enjoyed adding some finishing touches to their Christmas gifts and others explored some new puzzles, flashcards and counting resources.

Miss Jess also made another excellent indoor maze where the children had to follow a certain pattern of letters to make it to the end. It was great for developing physical and cognitive skills and was such a great idea. It made the learning fun for the children and was very engaging for them.

Outdoors we had our sport and movement class where we moved around like different animals while our friends had to guess which ones we were The children have enjoyed doing lots of acting games like charades last week as well. We might try and do some more dress up plays as this was another activity which they all enjoyed.

After lunch we settled into quiet time stories and then some table activities to practice more fine motor skills and shape recognition.

Thanks for joining us today and see you again soon!

Mr Andrew and Miss Jess
