Jingeri, and welcome to the Kindergarten blog today. The children and staff arrived energised after a wonderful weekend.

Today was a special day as we welcomed Jaxon for his first day at Kindergarten. We also welcomed back Lilly who has been away for a long time but it was great to see many of the children remembering her face. They both settled in so well today and it was great to see the rest of the class helping them out.

Today we revisited our steam engine train as Mr Andrew was putting the water in the wrong place. It was great to hear all of the predictions and suggestions from the children about how we could fix it. Eventually it got running and the wheel went really fast, the children got very excited.

Afterwards we had a group time and did some active songs and dancing as well as our colours of Australia song which has a great message about accepting diversity. We contined the dancing when the yoga teacher arrived. The children have been very engaged in these yoga sessions as well as our sport and movement session in the tree house.

After lunch we settled into quiet time with books, puzzles and drawing or relaxing on cushions. The children are really understanding why this time is important to rest our bodies and allow the children next door to sleep. Later in the day we are going to brainstorm what activities that the children want to see in the classroom.

Thanks for joining us today.

Checking out our salt crystals from last week. The result was awesome!
