Hello families and welcome to our awesome day in the Kindergarten room.
I am excited to tell you all about our day here at Riversdale Early Learning Centre.
This morning Mr Andrew and Miss Jess welcome our beautiful friends to have another journey of fun.
We decided to have the morning inside after our big morning play and then after lunch all children were outside indulging in that wonderful fresh air and cool breeze.
What we did inside –
After children had eaten morning tea, we all washed our hands ready to play with activities set up on the tables. Activities such as connectors, the children really liked making different patterns, shapes in all different sizes, some children also made long snakes!! robots and so much more as they use their wonderful imaginations. The Lego too was a favourite! Children also liked playing with the dominos! Using great concentration skills as they carefully balanced the dominos onto each other to make a tall tower! Some children were happy to chill out and relax their bodies as they read some books, there was one book that all children were very interested about which was the animal book which sparked a lot of conversations!
Mr Andrew set up a puzzle on one of the tables and as children came across it they all helped put pieces together to complete the project, children showed how great that they can work together. Mr Andrew also did a treasure map with the children. First they needed to paint the paper with cold coffee and then when it was dry they could proceed to draw the treasure map!! So many children enjoyed doing this.
After lunch all children headed outside to enjoy the rest of the day in the great outdoors and to embrace the beautiful day. Children did some activities in the tree house as well as some fun sporty games with Mr Andrew! Soon enough it was time to do their treasure hunt that they have been waiting to do! The children were so excited to get this under way and with that in mind the pirates headed off to find their treasure using the maps they made.
For the rest of the afternoon children stayed outside having a wonderful time exploring with their friends.
All children have had a great day and we hope you all did too.
