Hello Kindergarten family and welcome to our rainy Thursday where we had 18 friends enjoying their special indoor day. We were able to have some fresh air out under the veranda building blocks making illustrations with the felt props and reading on comfy cushions.

Today is a special day in New Zealand called Waitangi day where they celebrate the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi between the native Maori and British settlers. Emmett came in his All Blacks jersey as he has some Maori heritage and he brought an awesome book about a young child who wants to become an All Black. To acknowledge the day we added some more feathers to our special Korowai (cloak) and did some collages of New Zealand and Maori flags.

As it was too rainy outdoors we made sure to rotate the resources lots more with awesome train sets, marble obstacle courses, peg board patterns, new puzzles and threading skills. It is great to see lots of the children challenging themselves with these fine motor skills such as threading, cutting and gluing. It has led to some amazing creations.

Thank you all for your lovely presence this week so far. See you again soon.
