Jingeri!
Due to the rainy weather we spent our day indoors. We started our day with some free choice indoor activities before moving on to morning group time. For morning group time with Miss Shannan, we participated in the Acknowledgment of Country with Yugambeh language; Sang our Good morning song – Steiner; Sang our Days of the week song; Completed our Weather and date chart – with a weather checker.
Miss Hayley came for our yoga session today. We did toe yoga, it was lots of fun and brought lots of giggles. Ivy practiced stretching her feet up in the air, as she passed a bean bag to Miss Hayley using her feet and toes. Bonnie brought in her Bambi book from home to read today with her friends. Miss Tatiane kindly offered to read it to Bonnie and Rosie this morning on the mat, the girls excitedly raced to sit down and listen. Armin went on a little mission today, searching around the room for the perfect fan to wave. He settled on the laminated investigation jars, proudly waving it to fan his face ‘arghhh’ he said smiling. Outside, Hendrix and Tate were the first to test out our new nail and hammer game. Miss Shannan first explained the safety rules since there are real nails involved, before the boys excitedly set off to make their own fire trucks, police cars and tractors. Owen made a hissing snake out of the connectors today. It was very long and was often sitting over his shoulders as he moved about the room ‘ssssss’. Taran also made a few snakes today, though hers were little and squishy. She spent time carefully rolling them out of playdough and placing them into a bowl, before showing Miss Shannan and her peers her ‘S s snakesss!’. Macy and Luna also had fun with the playdough. They helped Miss Shannan to make it, mixing through the colours into the dough and adding flour to combat the stickiness. |
Emerson enjoyed some time creating with the coloured tiles today. He made a dragonfly, a flower, a giraffe and even and train.
See you tomorrow!
Miss Shannan😊
