Good Morning,
was a chilly brisk morning, so the children warmed up with a run around outside, playing tiggy and hide and seek. Today is the Birthday of Scarlett and Sienna and as an extension from aboriginal arm painting yesterday we continued with arm paints of children’s choice. Popular was hair colour, unicorns and flowers. indoors the girls sang along to songs whilst talking about their pictures which they had saved in their bags since yesterday. Wynter continued with her interest in shells as she held them up to her ears to hear the ocean. She then extended her own play experience by using natural small parts to create a garden. On the way to school we spotted the flowers on the pumpkin vine, conversations about bees swapping pollen and nectar so the flowers can turn into pumpkins.
this afternoon we loaded fruit and vegetable scraps into the compost bin and gave it a spin. Conversations on how it will turn into dirt in just 6 weeks. Indoors, children coloured in emoji sheets, constructed mattresses to make a puppet show. Creating storyline’s into play. Making props and signs for the show. Attendance guest lists saw Scarlett, Sienna and Taylah negotiating and problem solving. Others constructed houses and towers from magnetic shapes, orbz, and Jenga blocks. Scarlett Sienna Ellie, Mariah and Taylah role played restaurants in home area, becoming aware of healthy nutrion as they prepared play plates of food. The boys wore their shirts backwards while they danced silly and laughed a lot. Lol.
