Hello and welcome to the OSHC page.
This morning Wynter, Violet and Hazel constructed cubby houses with doors, beds, animals and role playing neighbours.
In the garden we watered plants, took the dead leaves off of our strawberry bush to help it grow. We, talked about the difference in the leaves, once they receive water the leaves face the sky instead of the ground. Wynter and Hazel started to tell the plants how beautiful they are. Lucas said, they like being sung to. He continued, once there was this boy that sang to his pumpkin and it grew really big. I reflected that there was a science experiment in a school that confirmed this.
In the playground children created an obstacle course incorporating blocks. Ruby and Matilda toured the yard on bikes and scooters. Wynter, Violet and Hazel dug for shells and pebbles in the sand pit.
Indoors the children constructed cubby houses, puzzles
enjoyed interactions with stick insects, grasshoppers, harlequin cotton beetles and snails. 
This afternoon, children were busy building a video game shop. Coen, Bobby, Isabella and Parker wrote, drew signs to advertise games. Creatively inventing new games. Billy created a magnetic multi game controller.
Sienna and Scarlet created a rainbow shop that sells food toys and books. Creating storyline’s and negotiating roles.
Bug talks and interactionshelped to bring an awareness of being respectful of living creatures.
