Happy Friday 😊
This morning Milly arrived with cute buns in her hair. Ellie loved it so much that she wanted to be just like her friend Milly. It is so lovely how close our class is. We have some amazing friendships in Pre Kindy! This class had a blast outside climbing over the obstacle course, testing their balance and getting their faces painted!
Pre Kindergarten love listening to audio fairy tale stories while they have their meals.  For morning tea we listened to ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ which was a request from Kaylee. Miss Livia and Miss TJ were listening in to the children’s conversations after our story where they were talking about either being not afraid or afraid of heights. Miss TJ told the children that some people go sky diving, bungee jumping or even on roller coaster to face their fears. Even Miss TJ has been sky diving and bungee jumping before and the children couldn’t believe it. At group time we watched a video of people doing bungee jumping, sky diving and hang gliding like Miss Livia did. The children couldn’t believe their eyes and some of them wanted to try it. We may have some dare devils in the classroom.
We decided to enjoy the wonderful sunny day by heading outside again. We made paper aeroplanes to fly in the sky just like Miss Livia and Miss TJ did. The children coloured all over their aeroplanes and then headed to the top of the tree house to fly them down to the ground. The class also enjoyed jumping off the rock tunnel into the soft sand. We had a few friends who were a little bit nervous to jump but also eager to face their fears. The group gave them words of encouragement such as “You can do it. We are so proud of the class for giving it a go! Bonnie and Tanner were playing a lovely game together over by the kitchen and cubby house pretending that they were taking care of a bunny. A few friends also enjoyed racing around the bike track, dodging each other and role playing bus drivers picking up people on their bus.
Coming back inside we sang a few of our favourite songs such as ‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes’ and ‘Picking up the baby bumble bee’. Chihiro then showed the class how she can sing ‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes’ in Japanese which her father taught her. We were amazed at how well Chihiro could sing the song in Japanese confidentiality in front of her friends. The class all joined in trying to copy Chi. We will have to get the lyrics and practice the Japanese version. Thank you Chi for sharing!
We read ‘The Enormous Turnip’ before preparing for lunch and rest time 😊
Hope you all have a lovely afternoon and that your weekend is wonderful
Lots of Love from Miss TJ and Miss Livia xx
