Happy Friday families and friends. First thing this morning we enjoyed the sunshine as we engaged in water play in the creek. India has such fun, she asked Miss Livia to wash the sand off her before getting changed. Then it was time for morning tea, after which we said our Acknowledgement To Country. Miss Livia then showed the children a very short video about the importance of wearing a hat and sunscreen whenever we are outside and especially if we go to the beach…. after this the children that wished to participate were given the chance to draw a picture of going to the beach. As they were drawing they explained their pictures to me – Chi said ‘this is me with sunscreen’ – Bonnie said ‘you put sunscreen on when you play’ – Marama said ‘ I’m drawing the water’ – Milly said ‘ I’m drawing a fish in the water’ – Kaylee said ‘ I’m drawing the sand and the sun” Other indoor activities were, listening to the ocean in seashells and home corner role play. Those children who chose outdoor activities showed us how they put their sunscreen on and went to play on the swing and ride the bikes. The we all did dance class with Miss Jeni. During our mid morning group time I read the children two books called Way Down Deep In The Deep Blue Sea and Jolly Olly Octopus. We wish you all a wonderful weekend. See you all on Monday.
