Hi families! hoping you’re having a lovely Friday.

Today we began our day with a lovely play outside with our friends from Senior Kindy and Kindergarten, this is such a lovely time of the day watching our friends build beautiful connections and friendships with the children from the other classrooms.

At group time today we talked about the planet and used our special planet cards that have a picture and a description of each planet! Bonnie was also kind enough to bring in a book for us to read which really tied in with our ongoing topic of manners from last week.

At activity time today, the children had the choice between painting recycled materials (to turn into rocket ships) and doing water play with the tub and sea animals, as well as mat activities of their choice. We love using recycled materials to do arts and crafts as it re-purposes something that would otherwise just go straight to the bin. Using small, thin brushes and doing delicate strokes to decorate our rocket ships and paint patterns really helps with fine motor skills. The water tub with the sea animals followed on from the children’s interest of water play and sea animals.

Before lunch, we all found a spot on the mat to practice our belly breathing to relax and unwind before lunch and rest time.

We hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Lots of love, Miss Livia and Miss Danna xxx
