Happy Monday 😊

We hope that you have all enjoyed a long weekend. The children were ready for kindy this morning, excited to see their friends. Out in the yard the children were enjoying walking around and taking in the beautiful environment around them, experimenting in the sandpit, having quiet reading time with friends in the cubby house and climbing the tree house obstacles.

Once inside, Miss Lyn taught us the Acknowledgment to country along with a few actions. We the transitioned off to our activities chosen for the morning with planned and spontaneous experiences. Extending off our fun making car tracks last week with blocks and also sticky tape we decided to make a car track out of cardboard that Miss TJ brought in. The children helped us paint it with special wooden sticks and earthy colours to practice the dot painting technique. This gave our car track lots of colour and it was fun decorating it. Once it was dry, we raced the cars around. Pre Kindy also enjoyed role playing and collaborating in story telling in the home corner, free drawing with crayons and texters and using our imagination to play with recycled items. Thank you, Emerson, for donating some recycled bottle caps to explore with today.

The children were looking forward to our Yoga lesson with Miss Hayley. Today they played ‘Sleeping Bunnies’ and practice a short meditation.

Before lunch Miss Lyn read There was an old lady who swallowed a mozzie, which the children thought was hilarious.

Have a wonderful afternoon,

Miss TJ and Miss Lyn xx
