Happy Monday Everyone 🙂

Thank you to all of the families who came to our Christmas party last Thursday! We all had such a lovely time being able to come out in the yard together, catch up and celebrate!

This morning we had a visit from a big rain cloud, so we decided to enjoy the indoors together. We had a lovely morning group time where we stretched out bodies, sang ‘Santa Claus is coming to town’ and Marley shared her adventures with Bob the Sloth last week. Thank you for sharing Marley, it sounds like you had a lovely time with Bob.

Miss TJ made a new batch of green play dough to get into the Christmas spirit. The children have been asking nearly everyday for play dough and we finally got the all clear to have some. We had fun rolling out the dough and using the cookie cutters to cut out different shapes. Pre-Kindergarten also enjoyed building with the magnetic shapes and using the magnet numbers and letters to decorate the small whiteboards, free drawing with our special new pens and doing Christmas tree stamp painting. They absolutely loved the painting experience today as they blobbed paint onto a tree foam cut out and then flipped it over and stamped the colours onto their page to see the magic happen. All of the colours made a beautiful effect once stamped down on the paper.

Miss TJ also promised face paint last week and the children had not forgotten. The children took turns in choosing a Christmas themed face or arm paint for themselves such as snowmen, Santa hats, Christmas lights and reindeer’s.

Before lunch we had our very last yoga lesson of the year with Miss Hayley. Can you believe how quickly the time is going!
