We continued to learn about space and today we explored the planet Venus we learnt that Venus is the second planet from the sun however it is the hottest planet in the solar system. we have been watching videos from Kids Learning tube on YouTube, the children have really enjoyed this and have been able to retain certain facts from these videos. we have also been watching footage of the current astronauts on the International space station, the children love watching the astronauts work.
To extend on Nature play week the children used the leaves from yesterday’s hunt to participate in a leaf rubbing experience. For this the children placed paper over the leaves and used crayons to rub over the leaves. Miss Connie initiated a game of doggy, doggy, where’s your bone? The children thoroughly enjoyed this it was a great way for the children to extend on their turn taking and receptive language skills. For self select the children chose the following experiences.

The children had a lot of fun with Mr Dan for Arakan today. They warmed up with a game of Simon says before working on straight palms into the focus pads. To conclude their Arakan lesson the children engaged in a. Gam of find the focus pads, the children closed their eyes while Dan hid 3 focus pads.
The children decided to mix water play with the sandpit, using buckets and pots to transfer water from the water pump to the sandpit. Using sand as sugar and flour the children decided to bake yummy cakes.
The bikes were used to transport peers around the hill while some children opted to use the swing.
