Happy Thursday
This morning the children were singing loud and proud along to Taba Naba as we warm up our voices and bodies fro the day. This class absolutely loves music and movement. Anything where we get to move our bodies and sing along to. We did a role call before transitioning off to morning tea with a high 5, hug or fist bump with Miss TJ.
During activity time we joined to large tables to create a big long table for CHRISTMAS painting! On one side we had white paint with sponges and black paint with small thin paint brushes as Arlo suggested we make Snowman. On the other side we had glitter red, gold and silver paint, plus green and white paint to do Christmas painting with our fingers. The class loved the idea of getting our fingers into the paint for something different. Pre-Kindy also started on their Christmas presents which is top secret so we cannot tell you. The children explored the classroom, enjoying construction play such as the large foam dominoes, connector blocks and Lego. They also chose to play with the doll house, hair and make up salon, role playing in home corner and chose to join in on the Arakan Martial Arts lesson outside in the tree house.
We pack away the classroom and made sure we had sunscreen and hats on before heading outside to the shady sandpit for a play. We were super impressed by the children’s self help skills today when they made their beds all by themselves. Delicious toasties for lunch before a much needed rest!
Enjoy your day!
