Good afternoon families and friends. We hope you are enjoying your day. This morning as part of Science Week, the pre kindy children learned about how to help look after the ocean, by not putting rubbish in the water that might harm the sea creatures. To extend on this discussion I asked if they would like to create collages of the ocean. For this we used paper in various shades of ocean colours and some silver foil paper to represent plastic and metal. This activity was done in small groups, with the children all chatting to each other about what they were creating. This was then followed by some of the children exploring the sensory ocean bottles. Other activities the children have enjoyed today were, car track play, reading books to each other on the mat, building with the connector magnets, and home corner role play. Morning group time, we said our Acknowledgement To Country & then listened to Miss Lyn read a book called “Way Down Deep in The Deep Blue Sea. Dance class with Miss Jenn was great fun, with us practicing our wonderful dance moves and also doing some tumbling on the mat. Outdoors we played with our friends in the sandpit as well as riding the bikes, pushing our friends no the swing and climbing the hill. Have a lovely weekend everyone. See you all on Monday.
Love from Miss Lyn & Miss Otavia 😊😊
