Our fun Friday in Pre Kindy … today we celebrated National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day (official day of celebration is Sunday 4th August) We play , We learn, We belong. The children were very excited to have their faces painted by Miss Donna, in recognition of Aboriginal & Torres Strait islander customs. They  also enjoyed a tactile experience moulding clay & creating patterns in it with natural resources using sticks, seed pods & leaves. Miss Lyn then read to us, a book called Ernie Dances To The Didgeridoo by Alison Lester, about a little boy who moves to Arnhem Land for a year &  learns all about aboriginal culture, making new friends along the way. We also enjoyed – painting, making friendship bangles, home area role play, reading our own books from our book case & Funky Feet dancing with Miss Jeni.  We wish all our families a wonderful weekend… We look forward to seeing those parents, carers & children who are free to come at our Open Day tomorrow .. love from Miss Donna & Miss Lyn 😊💕💕😊
