Good afternoon families,
Happy Tuesday! This morning we welcomed Bjorn, Ryan, Everlea, Myla, Harry, Colten, Ariana, Latika, Harper, Lincoln, Chanel, Sayde, Cruiz, Amelia, Cohen, Ivy, Delila, Lachlan.
This morning we started the day with some bike racing, mud kitchen play as well as we had children playing on the gymnastic equipment. We have some new outdoor activities coming soon, so we are excited to see how the children incorporate these into their self directed morning play.
We then transitioned into morning tea, having all children head inside for the bathroom and to wash their hands. Today for morning tea we had rice crackers and fresh fruit, this is one of the children’s favourites so they all ate really well this morning. We then moved into our group time we started off with our acknowledgement to our country, and our days of the week song then we continued on with our solar system learning today we learnt about Mars which the children were really interested in, we learnt that Mars is red in colour and is the 4th planet from the sun. It also has a volcano on it which is larger then earths largest mountain.
We then had a discussion about what activities the children would like to do. We had some children want to paint, others wanted to do puzzles and some wanted to play with the cars.
We then got the children to take turns making their beds, were all getting a lot better with this, we even have some children helping their friends make their beds which is so col to see. We then headed outside for some outside play before lunch.

A few notices;
Could we please ensure children’s clothes and shoes are all named so that we are able to place clothing back into correct bags when children pull everything out and leave it on the floors 🙂
Can we also make sure that children are not bring toys from home to Kindy, these end up getting lost and also cause arguments amongst children.
