Hello everyone – yet another glorious day weather wise! Today we welcome Oli and Otto to our room. We hope you have had a wonderful day today, and we are so pleased you have become part of our Pre-Kindy family.

Today some of the children dressed as their favourite book character to celebrate National Book Week (“Reading is my super power”). Indi dressed as “Lettice”the rabbit, Hazel dressed as a ballerina, Amayah dressed as a pirate, and Eva dressed as Princess Elsa.

During In the outdoor space this morning the children painted at the easel and cooked mud pies in the outside kitchen. The kitchen space was definitely a favourite with Oli! Otto had a nice lie down on the big green hill whilst he played with bulldozers and chatted to Miss Donna.

During inside morning activities, Charlotte, Eva, Kianni and Amayah chose to colour in super hero characters with textas, whilst Arlo and Marshall made Mobilo constructions on the green mat with Miss Jordan.

On the outside verandah, Hazel, Braxton, Xavier played with toy super hero action figures – lots of whooshing sounds, screeches and pretend voices were used as the children created imaginary characters.

Today we also read “Lettice – The Fairy Ball”(brought in by Indi) and “Giraffes can’t dance”…lots of conversational reading took place during the giraffe book.

Tomorrow we will focus on rubbish and recycling, as this week, quite apart from National Book Week, it is also “Keep Australia Beautiful Week.”

In addition, for our Friday families, we ask that your child wear yellow if possible to acknowledge National Daffodil Day (in support of people with cancer). A gold coin donation would be appreciated.

Until tomorrow, please take care everyone!

Much love,

Miss Donna and Miss Lyn xxx
