Hello families, and welcome to wonderful Wednesday. Today we have been very busy making some Halloween crafts in preparation for our Halloween open night tomorrow night here at Riversdale. If you can make it, we would dearly love to see you between 5.00 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. – there will be so much to see and do!

This morning we had lots of fun outside with our friends climbing the large green hill and trying out the obstacle courses. Kianni and Narla have developed a really nice friendship and were often seen holding hands this morning and giggling together.

The Pre-Kindy children were all very engaged today in loads of craft activities, including:

  • Making pumpkins from paper plates, orange paint, mouth, eyes and nose cut outs where we got to practise our scissor cutting skills. Theo, India and Henry were so proud of their finished creations!
  • Making “skeletons” on coloured paper from matchsticks and PVC glue
  • Painting at the easel in shades of black, pink and orange

In addition, the following play-based activities were also enjoyed today:

  • Black playdough – it was great fun creating people out of playdough, rolling playdough between our fingers and using plastic body parts, shoes, hats and facial features to make some very funny figures! This activity was especially enjoyed by Marshall and Reid
  • Fun group games including “What’s the time Mr Wolf” and “Doggy, Doggy who’s got the bone” – everyone enjoyed themselves
  • Assorted puzzles and magnet boards

We hope you enjoy the photos of your child’s day. Until tomorrow, stay safe and enjoy your evening!

Much love, Miss Donna and Miss Tania xxx
